So you've heard a lot about this game called The Sims Online, and you want to
give it a try, but you don't know where to begin. Well, fear not! Just follow
these simple steps, and you'll be on your way to giving this online version of
the best-selling game of all time a try!
| Downloading the Free Trial |
The Free Trial -- Click me to start the free trial process!
Step 1: Type your email address into both of these boxes.
Step 2: Type the security code into the box as shown above.
Note: It is case sensitive.
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Proceed to
download”
Step 4: On the next page this message will come up. Click “Download”
to start your download of the free trial for The Sims Online. (Note: This
will download the installer file).
Step 5: Once you have clicked the download button,
this message will come up. Click “Save”, and select a directory
where you will be able to find your download easily.
(Your desktop may be the best place to save it.)
Step 6: Find where you saved it and click on the icon that was made.
Step 7: Once you click on it, this box will appear. Click “Yes”
to start downloading.
Step 8: You are now downloading The Sims Online Free Trial!
(This step can take a long time even if you are on broadband!)
Step 9: You can click the “Suspend” button anytime you want to
suspend your downloading. Note that you can always resume downloading
at anytime. You can go back to step number 6 if you need help restarting
your download.
(This will only pause your downloading where it is, it will pick up
again from the same place it left off when you started it!)
Step 10: While you are waiting for The Sims Online Free Trial to
download, go to your email and open up the email that was sent to you from
TheSimsOnline@fun.ea.com.
If it is not in your inbox, look in your junk email box, as it could have
ended up in there. Follow the steps in that email to receive your free trial
registration code. See here for details.
| Setting up an EA member account |
Go to EA.com
Step 1: Look at the top left of the page and click “GET INTO THE
EA NATION”.
Step 2: On the pulldown menu that appears, click ”Create An Account”.
A new window will open. Review the Terms of Service contract
shown.
Step 3: If you agree to the Terms of Service contract, click ”ACCEPT”.
Step 4: Fill out this form with all of your information.
Step 5: When you are done, go to the bottom of the form and click ”OK!”.
Step 6: On the next page you will need to log in. Type your password into
the box and then click ”OK!”.
Step 7: On the next page click ”Billing Info”
Step 8: Then click “Enter your billing information”
Step 9: Fill out this form with all of your billing information. Note:
You will not be charged unless you decide to upgrade your free trial to
a regular account. This upgrade will happen automatically at the end of
your trial period unless you cancel beforehand.
Step 10: One you are done click “OK!”.
You are now done with the billing setup!

Once you have completed all of the steps in the email
you received from TheSimsOnline@fun.ea.com, wait one or two business days
and you will receive your free trial registration code by email.

Step 1: Go back to ea.com,
click GET INTO THE EA NATION, and click LOG IN to log into your account.
Step 2: Click Subscription Info.
Step 3: Go down to the bottom of that page and click Register to
Subscribe Now.
Step 4: Enter the code you got from EA in an email after completing the
Contacting EA for your free trial registration code section.
Step 5: Click ”Ok>>”.
Once you have completed all steps in the guide, you are now ready to start
playing The Sims Online Free Trial!
