Fireside Chat - 2/16/03 MaxisTigger - Chat history window shows all the chat a player has recently heard. (It will not show chat that happened before they entered the property, parentally controlled chat, ignored chat, etc.

House of Commons VII - 1/29/03 MaxisKyle - We are working on limiting the deletion of new Sims so that this sort of thing becomes less frequent and less effective. But the bottom line is, it's not intended behavior and will soon not be effective.

Open Forum Dev Chat - 1/15/03 Dynamic pricing means that the price of catalog objects will change from week to week. The price of an object will vary depending on how many were actually purchased by players. So if everyone buys a pizza machine one week, next week they will cost much more. If nobody buys the ugly chair, it will get cheaper and cheaper until someone does.

House of Commons VI - 12/18/02 MaxisCindy: Height is something we can't be flexible with because of the way the animation and accessories systems work. Their is no way to generalize what height would clip through which object on which animation, for example. We'd have to code for each individual case. House of Commons V - 12/14/02 MaxisChris: Where it goes from there will be shaped by a conversation with the community. We're already seeing some really cool websites devoted to neighborhoods. We're *thrilled* to see this kind of initiative and look forward to developing more and more meaning there over time.

House of Commons IV - 12/07/02 MaxisTigger My favorite part of TSO is helping players who are new to online gaming learn how to play. I also love rearranging my home and getting the community feedback. Plus I never looked so good in a bikini as I do in TSO

House of Commons III - 9/18/02 MaxisKyle: The Sims community is built around creating and exchanging user-created content. That's great for a single-player game, because you can pick and choose what you want in your game.
|
House of Commons II - 7/31/02 MaxisKyle: The Sims Online world is what you, the players, make of it. So if you want to be a banker, earn some money, then offer to let people borrow it.

House of Commons I - 6/26/02 Like many people, I can't actually tell you why I play The Sims. And being a guy, I insist that it's "a simulator" and not "a dollhouse." ;) But one thing I do know: it's going to be a lot more fun when you know that every Sim you meet is a real person.
