FUGLY OLD MAN chose Dan’s Grove because of the profile when he first started, and has enjoyed the city since.
While sitting in his rocker on the front porch, whittling a stick, FUGLY shared a few stores with me. “I REMEMBER ONE TIME WHEN THESE SIMS HAD A RADIO STATION GOING ON. I DON’T REMEMBER WHO, BUT THEY DID A CONTEST TO NAME OFF THE SONGS. I WAS NAMING THE SONGS OFF BEFORE THEY STARTED TO PLAY AND FREAKED EVERYONE OUT.”
And also this one, “GRACIE, GUY, FUGLY AND SOME OTHERS WERE ALL MAKING BLANK BUBBLES WHEN SIMS WALKED INTO HOUSES THEY WERE AT. AND MESSING WITH NEWBIES HEADS. THEY WERE LIKE, WHAT IS GOING ON?”

Rebel: A toilet clogger but a sweet man! He makes all newbies feel welcome and helps them.
Izannah: lol very kind, despite himself! The first night I really got to talk to him, he came in to the skill house I was hosting in (there were other newbies) and he just offered all kinds of advice on the game and asked if we had questions, very knowledgeable about the game….a great ole’ timer to have around!
Meli: He is one of the best sims I have met in this entire game!
Guy La’Douche: Fugly: The only sim in TSO able to sound completely non-serious or angry while simultaneously always typing in capital letters.
Gracie: A newbie came to his house one day. We couldn’t even get her to speak or accept interactions. After she left, Fugly sent her a roomie invite and she accepted! I’m not sure she ever knew she had a home. Never saw her again.
A lot of newbies that come to his house, he shoots with his cannon. Then he gets them to repair broken lights. After he kills them and brings them back to life, he invites them to be roomies. It has always amazed me that they accept! Most of the roomies he’s ever had, he killed first.
Tatiana: He hates teachers. He even kicks out friends if they try to teach on his lot.
Gracie: He hot kisses anything with 2 legs
Tatiana: I think he calls everyone he knows SEXY (add name)
Gracie: oh he only calls you by SEXY if you accept his hot kisses. Lol

Recently, a general question was asked in various houses across Dan’s Grove.
“Do you prefer your parrots alive or dead, and why?”
Here are the answers:
FUGLY OLD MAN- “Dead. Living birds crap and make noise all day. Besides, dead birds go great with my cemetery.”
Susie Kay - “Definitely dead. They are dirty….and squawk too much.”
Eddie - “Alive, they’re harder to eat but the chase is worth it.”
Helkana - “Dead. Less messy that way, and if you want to hear them squawk take ‘em out of inventory.”
Guy La’Douche - “Well, I prefer dead ones for a multitude of reasons. They don’t make annoying sounds, look cuter upside down, they don’t need food, AND they don’t poop!”
Dan La’Douche - “I prefer parrots dead. Why? Because I have a somewhat deranged sense of humor. But besides that, dead parrots are just easier to take care of, you don’t have the constant squawking and you never had to remember to feed and/or clean them. “
Sativa - “I like them alive. But I don’t think I have had one live longer than about 2 hours around me.”
And, on the condition of not being named - “Parrots are easier to get rid of than husbands”

Recently, one of Dan’s Grove’s most beloved citizens turned the ripe old age of 1,000.
Sims from all over came to celebrate and wish Eeee Jay a happy birthday.
Guests were: Heaven Bound, a.k.a. Kess, Renee’, Lestat, Dan, Mandi K, Firebird, Kelley Playmate, Susie Kay, Pocashell Playmate, Kevin and Angel Star, Danielle C, Sunny, Cindy, Eddie, Layla, Olivier Blissi, Rachel Red, Galaxy, Robo Mac, Jacie Renee, Missy.
Firebird: What does it feel like to be an old fogy?
Eee Jay: It feels….grrrrreat I’m up there with Gracie, Mist (Again), Guy, Fire, etc., etc.
Firebird: What did you wish for when you blew out the candles?
Eee Jay:I didn’t get a chance to blow out the candles….because Guy stole and hid my cakes from me :D
Eee Jay had 2 birthday cakes on the counter. Guy put them in each corner of the road. Eee Jay didn’t think he could pick them up. But all he had to do was turn the angle!
Eee Jay says his favorite gift was from his roomie, Renee’. She gave him a Pink Poodle, which he named Pink Lady after Grease. The most creative gift was a themed gift from Gracie, which included: a rip bouncy ball, a basketball, a cannonball, and a pool table.
There was a pee contest, and a paint poker contest. Cruiser was the first to paint 5 of the same kind of paining.
The winner of the pee contest was Eddie. When asked how did it feel to win the contest, he answered, “Humiliating and gratifying at the same time. Lol”
Eddie and Cruiser each won 100k.

Citizens of Dan's Grove, are you tired of spending all of your hard earned money for taxis, going all over the city looking to buy what you need?
Are your feet tired from walking up down aisle after aisle searching for the perfect deal?
Then rest your weary feet and buy a foot massager from the new Wal Mart located in Dan's Grove.
Upon entering the store, customers are greeted by the owner, boneman himself!
Due to the object limit you will find hand made crafts, an electronic section, clothing and skilling items.

Sims from all over Dan’s Grove came to the Grand Opening of Gracieville Amusement Park on Wednesday, March 28. While waiting outside for the park doors to open, there was almost a riot.
Waiting for the opening of the park were: Gracie Nito, Victoria Lynn Spomnie, Guy La’Douche, Tatiana Grishenko, Marth, Grandpas Ona Plane, Layla La’Pizza, Helkana, Beatrix Kiddo, Sofie Fatale, Sarah BeGoode, Meanie Greedie, Matt Barq, Phoebe, punkrockerchik, and Binks Playmate.
The owner, Buddie, was waiting at the gates to take tickets.
The rides included:
The elevator of Doom. The Elevator of Doom is not for the squeamish. It made many sims sick as they witnessed the horrors that awaited them inside.
The Staircase Rollercoaster:
Many sims including Gracie Nito rode this ride over and over, proclaiming it to be their favorite.
Nau Sea Swamp:
The Nau Sea Swamp boat ride can be a bit scary at times. The tour goes through frog infested waters. If you are not careful, they will spit poison at you. It also goes through a flock of flamingos, waiting to attack if the boat gets too close to their herd.
Even though Gracie Nito warned about motioned sickness, some
became sick because of the natural waves that occured when the wind gusted.
There is also a carousel and a Ferris wheel. From the top of the Ferris wheel, you can see all over Dan’s Grove.
Games include Nito Fire Game,, and a basketball game.
Sims came throughout the evening and enjoyed the new Park until it closed for the night. |

NUTTY SAND CASTLE
The lot spotlight shines this month on the number 1 skill lot in Dan’s Grove,, Nutty Sand Castle. I talked to some of the regular skillers, and they all said the owner and roomies are always helpful and very friendly. All of the skills can be found at Nutty Sand Castle, and they are always happy to help any sim that needs it.
Cha-Cha says she likes to skill there because there is always someone to chat with, not too much drama, and friendly people. You will find her there mostly at night, skilling cooking. I asked her why do you think Galaxy named it Nutty Sand Castle? She replied, “lol, I don’t know. It gets a little nutty sometimes.”
Cari Star said, “I love to skill at Galaxy’s place. Her and Ellie are so nice and very good friends. This place is so much fun and we all joke around, and it’s so friendly here. You can skill and relax and just have a great time. This place rocks. It’s one of my favorite places to be. I love to help people out when they need help. DG is the best city in sims.” I asked her, do you think it’s easy to green here while you’re skilling, and how is
Galaxy and Ellie’s cooking? She answered, “Awesome! It rocks! So much good food here mmmmmmmmmmmm lol It fills me up, gives me more energy. They are very helpful and nice, too.
Eucalyptus says she likes to skill at Nutty Sand Castle because everyone is so friendly here and they help you. You need good company when you are skilling, and you get that here. Her favorite thing to skill at Nutty Sand Castle is cooking. I asked her if she skills exclusively there, and she replied, “Yes. This has been the best place for cooking.”
Ellie Mae was busy cooking and serenading her guests, so I decided to ask her a question.
“It must be hard to keep up with all the guests you have. How do you decide which skill to help with? And do you like to cook for everyone?
Ellie answered, “I go by which one needs the help with the %. I don’t mind to at all. I am here to help everyone.
I wondered why the house was named Nutty Sand Castle, so I went to the source.
“Why did you name your house Nutty Sand Castle?” I asked the owner, Galaxy.
She told me that they used to be The Sand Castle, but some friends that don’t play anymore suggested changing it to Nutty Sand Castle because they are nutz.

I moved to Dan's Grove almost four years ago, after livng in Blazing Falls for a few months.I have made many wonderful friends in Dan's Grove,. After moving here, I have not wanted to live anywhere else!

Love is in the Air
Perfect strangers once, now joined as one….a tso love story of Virgi and Mr.Charles. He was a newbie and landed in our sweet city of Dan's Grove and touring the mountains to the west he landed in a house which much to his surprise turned out to be the home of his future bride.
Virgi had bought a home for just herself to make money. She meant to keep her door locked so she could spend some quiet time alone. Thank goodness she didn't because suddenly a man with a weird hat appeared at her doorstep. Being a good sim, she decided to teach him the in's and out's of "The Sims Online" They started chatting away. He was already a roomie in a love house but as she explained the rules and chatted more, he wanted to move in with her.
He was comfortable there in the mountains. He explored the community and made lots of friends. Yet, he felt in his heart his was missing something. Virgi, owner of the house, kept hours that were different then his, so they missed each other online, constantly. One day, Mr. Charles was given free property from a sim that was leaving the game, so he moved out. Virgi was a little upset but hoped they could still stay friends.
 As days past both realized how much they missed each others company and conversation. They found ways of spending more time with each other till they drifted into sim love…butterflies in the stomach started and heart pounding love. Charles got down on his knee 20 times (one for each finger and toe) before he popped the real question….
"Will you marry me?"
On January 28th, 2007 Charles and Virgi married. Virgi and Charles are inseparable now, slow dancing and singing to each other….leaving surprises here and there for each other….thinking about starting a sim family, and living in Sims happily ever after.
