The New Year was fast approaching, and Bob & Betty Newbie wanted to go somewhere to celebrate. They found a lovely place called "Maui Getaway nCrafts" and decided this would be a nice place to spend the holiday.

Betty was pleased with the cute, holiday display which featured a family of snowmen. The family included a snowgirl playing with a dollhouse and her father watching a football game on the monochrome tv. "What a pretty holiday decoration," Betty said.

Santa made many stops throughout the land to deliver his gifts to good girls and boys,
But he was really looking forward to visiting the house of The Newbie's and give them a few new toys.

Upon his arrival, he saw two people made of snow,
So Santa held his belly and again laughed, "Ho, ho, ho!"

Christmas morning, Bob and Betty Newbie woke up very early at 3
To discover that something was left outside under their Holiday Tree.

"Look what Santa brought us!",
Betty said without a fuss.
It was a new oven,
And Betty saw it was for making a pizza, not a muffin.

Pizza was something Bob was really craving,
So he shouted out loud for all to hear, "This is truly amazing!"

"We never had anything like this back at home!",
Bob exclaimed as he looked at the statue of the dog that didn't have a bone.

And thus concludes our poem, my dear.

After getting changed, or rather new clothes materialized around his body, Bob decided to look around some more and found something else. It was a teleporter, of some sort. Bob wondered if he was on another planet for a moment, but that moment was very brief. In fact it was merely a split second, as most of his thoughts were, and soon after he found himself stepping into the machine saying, "I wonder where this goes?"

And then he lost track of his thoughts. That normally happened with Bob, but this time he had a good excuse because he was dematerialized atom by atom into another machine nearby.

Slowly, but surely his thoughts came back to him as he materialized on a dance floor in the middle of a pool! Alright, he thought, this is definitely a way to be stayin' alive!

Don't give up your day job, Robert. At least now he was no longer in the bad mood he had since coming home from the first day of work at the robot factory. But all fun nights must come to an end sooner or later, and as the Newbies were leaving they saw people unpacking and putting together benchpresses. Bob figured that perhaps the lot owners would be opening up a small, exercise gym close to the party floor.

Betty felt that she had kept the cab driver busy enough since the trip to the store, so she decided to pay him and let him go about his business. Upon approaching "Kawaii" Betty said to Bob, "What do you think, Bob?" She really liked the place, but she wanted to hear how her husband felt about the place too.

Now Bob wasn't thinking too much about the establishment, how it was designed, or the weird tree sitting in front. He was thinking about the fun time he was going to spend with Betty, so he said, "I like it. Great idea."

The positive response was all that Betty was looking for, even though the meaning was quite different than what she would ever know.

If you remember, there was mention of a "weird tree" that Bob didn't notice at first. But there's always a second time for some things, and Bob finally noticed. It was a fruit tree, he thought. "The fruit on that looks really tasty," he then said aloud. Odd that it was all fenced up. Was there something special about the fruit? Was it sweet, forbidden fruit? Where was the flaming sword? What in the world is Bob thinking anyway?

It didn't take long for Bob's thoughts to go elsewhere such as his growling stomach, so they went inside and found a table in the quaint diner. Bob glanced around and said, "very comfortable."

Persephone, the owner, made the Newbies feel right at home with a wonderfully cooked meal.

And after swimming in the pool for a bit, then they decided to play a game of pool. Leaning over the billiard table, Bob took aim. "Red ball, corner pocket," he mentioned cautiously.

No, he didn't make the shot.

Betty couldn't have her husband, Bob, wearing his pajamas out to dinner, so the first stop that Betty had in mind was a store to buy some nice clothes to go out on the town with. She saw one store that was very nice, and fortunately for Bob it was far enough away from the Tragic Clown. (Is anything far enough away from the Tragic Clown?)

The store was on a snow covered mountain top in a neighborhood called SweetVille and was commonly known there as "Snow Top Deals".

Once they arrived, Betty paid the taxi driver and asked for him to wait for them. The driver didn't mind as long as he was getting paid to wait. Easiest job in the world, he thought. So with that, the driver found a spot to park and waited as the Newbie's entered the facility.

Arranged in a similar manner to a flea market, Bob was rather impressed with the variety of items being sold. Furniture, pianos, sculptures, and much more could be seen as they walked inside. Bob noticed a sign that mentioned the owner's name, "Kevin Feathrline".

As they were going to the clothing department, Bob's eyes connected with the huge, widescreen tvs. His eyes studied the beautiful figure. "Hmm," he mumbled, "that's a nice TV."

Betty saw where this was going and needed to regain control FAST before Bob's attention was lost for good. "We came here to get clothes for you, Bob," she kindly but sternly reminded. That stern voice seemed to get Bob's attention, and they headed into the clothing department.

Many racks were spread across the department, and it did hold Bob's attention for a bit. Bob hadn't bought new clothes for awhile. Any new clothes that he had came from whatever job he happened to work with at the time. Glancing from one rack to another, Betty watched her husband as he said, "What do we have here? This looks nice."

"That's women's clothing, Bob."

Okay, so Bob didn't know his way around clothing racks very well. But once Betty pointed his nose in the right direction (and most girlfriends and wives will do this), Bob found some clothes that interested him. He tried on a few, but there was one that he found very comfortable and Betty really approved.

"Very nice," she applauded. Yep, she thought, this is the gorgeous man I married.

The Tragic Clown, whom many are annoyed with, cries in agony over his picture hanging up in his dreadful home.

"Boo hoo hoo. I'm so depressed. Just look at my hair in that picture!" the clown says as tears bleed from his eyes.

But soon, something wonderful happened!

Well, it wasn't wonderful as us normal people would think, and as far as the clown . . well, 'wonderful' is a poor translation for how the clown was feeling. It's a unique feeling of wonder, excitement, pain, and depression all at the same time!

In any case, it caught the clown's attention, and he walked outside to get a better sense on what he was feeling.

"I detect depression somewhere near," he sniffed at the air. "I must join with it," he decided.

And on that note, he threw his portable hole onto the ground and jumped through to his destination.

The clown only wanted to be 'one' with the depression coming from Mr. Newbie. It wasn't too much to ask, he thought. The clown approached his 'patient' and said, "You look so depressed. May I join you?"

Bob just about fell over. What he was unsure about was whether it was because he was being visited by this annoying clown he had heard about in SimsVille, or if he was just plain tired.

In either case, it was enough to get Bob angry. "Will you leave me alone?!!!" he shouted.

Let this be a lesson to all of us. If you are visited by the Tragic Clown, don't get angry with him. All it does is add to your already bad mood and makes the clown want to stay with you even more!

This was a lesson that Bob couldn't figure out on his own.

Bob wasn't going to be able to get any sleep it appeared, and this really made him more angry than he already was. He shouted at the clown, "Get out of my house!!!"

The Tragic Clown responded in kind by bawling his eyes out. Bob grabbed him by his clown collar and dragged him outside, determined to lock him out of the house.

Yeah, like that will stop him! Bob apparently didn't hear the part of the portable hole that the clown carries in his pocket.

What the clown wasn't expecting was the arrival of a new person to the house who was not in a bad mood. Betty Newbie came home by taxi after exploring around Calvin's Creek and wanted to show her husband some of the places she had seen. There was one place in particular that she wanted to take Bob to, and she saw how depressed he looked when she approached the house.

Bob shouted in frustration, "This stupid clown will not leave!"

Betty looked over at the crying clown and wanted to be nice and say "hi", but instead she looked back at Bob and said, "C'mon Bob, let's go out and have some fun."

”But I’m not even dressed,” he said. Betty responded, “We’ll pick up some new clothes on our way.”

This put a smile on his face, and the clown knew he was in trouble as the married couple walked over to the cab. "No, don't leave me," he cried. But it was too late.

Bob and Betty Newbie left for some place more happier, and the clown could no longer detect where his 'new friend' went.
